How do I change my address or phone number?
You may change your address in one of three ways:

1. Fax a signed address change request to 858-530-8761. This way we can verify the signature for the change.

2. Send a message through the Home Banking Message Board. Just enter Home Banking with your account number and access code, then on the left side of the screen, click on "Message Board". Then click on "Leave Message", fill out the form with your new address and phone number, and click "Continue" on the bottom of the page. This is a password protected and secure way to send any type of information to us.

3. You may change your own address/phone number through Home Banking. Log on, and at the top left of the screen on your Account Information page, you'll see a link to follow for changing your address, phone number and email address.

Please don't send address changes or other personal information or requests through regular email because it is not secure.

I'm having problems accessing Home Banking.
This could be one of two things. Either a "cookies" setting or the security settings.

First, for security reasons, Home Banking is best viewed using Netscape 4.x or Internet Explorer 4.x or higher. To make sure the browser accepts cookies, click on the "Tools" menu, then choose "Internet Options". Click on the "Security" tab, then click on the "Custom Level" button toward the bottom, and scroll down to "Cookies". Be sure the boxes for "Enable" are clicked for allowing cookies and allowing per-session cookies. If your version doesn't look like this, follow the previous steps and when you click on the "Custom Level" button toward the bottom, be sure that the drop down list setting is on "Medium" toward the bottom of the window. This will enable cookies.

To be sure your security settings are set correctly, click on that same "Internet Options" menu under "Tools", and click on the "Advanced" tab. Scroll down to the bottom, and be sure that "Use SSL 2.0" and "Use SSL 3.0" are both checked. After these settings are updated, restart Explorer/Netscape or restart your computer. If you're still experiencing problems, email us.

I have Quicken/MS Money problems.
Yes, this problem can happen when you have Microsoft Internet Explorer as your browser. This behavior can occur if the Multi-purpose Internet Mail Extension (MIME) content type for the document type is not defined. To resolve this issue, you must specify the correct content type. To do this, follow these steps:

Solution for Internet Explorer 4.x

  • Double-click on the My Computer icon, then click Options on the View menu.

  • Click the View tab, and verify that Show All Files is selected and that "Hide MS-DOS file extensions for file types that are registered" is not selected.
  • Double-click on the My Computer icon.
  • On the View menu, click Options, and then click the File Types tab.
  • Click the New type button
  • At the bottom of the Add New File Type window, verify that the "Confirm open after download" checkbox is checked.
  • In the Description of type box enter: qif
  • In the Associated extensions box, enter: qif
  • Under the Actions heading, click the New button.
  • In the Action box, type: OPEN
  • In the Application used to perform action box, type: c:\windows\notepad.exe
  • Click the Close button
  • Click OK until all dialog boxes are closed.

    Solution for Internet Explorer 3.x
  • From the Internet Explorer browser window click Options on the View menu.
  • Click the Programs tab.
  • Click Viewers and then click the File Types tab.
  • Click the New type button.
  • In the Description box, enter: cgi
  • In the Extension box, enter: cgi
  • Under the Actions heading, click the New button.
  • In the Action box, type: OPEN
  • In the Application box, type c:\windows\notepad.exe
  • Click the Close button.
  • Click OK until all dialog boxes are closed.

I'm at work and I can't log on to Home Banking.
It's possible that your employer has limited your Internet access, or it could be your browser. Home Banking is best viewed in Netscape 4.x or Internet Explorer 4.x.

I'm receiving a JAVA message, what's the problem?
The browser needs to be upgraded. Netscape 4.x or Internet Explorer 4.x is recommended.

How quickly will the Home Banking system time out?
  After 10 minutes of inactivity.

I'm in loan information. I can't get my balance for the date I put in.
What's the problem?.
The loan or share balance for a particular date goes back the beginning of the previous month. Look at loan history. You may be able to get the loan balance information from that screen.

How do I access my check card transactions?
This can be found under history. Your check card transactions will state "Check Card" in the description.

Can I sign up for Bill Payment online?
Yes you can! Click here to sign up for online Bill Payment.

What's Cabrillo's routing number?

What's the difference between APR and APY?
APR (Annual Percentage Rate) is simple interest without compounding. For example, $10,000 @ 6.00 APR for 2 years will produce $600 of interest per year (or $300 semiannually, or $150 quarterly, or $50 monthly). APY (Annual Percentage Yield) is compounded interest (usually daily or monthly) calculated for 1 year (even if the term is longer). For example, $10,000 @ 6.00 APR for 2 years compounded monthly, produces a 6.17 APY which returns a total of $11,272.07 after 2 years. For comparison purposes, banks often quote the APY of investments that don't compound interest. This is interpreted as "if the interest were to be compounded, this would be the APY".

How to I perform a wire transfer?
We will send and accept domestic or international wires. The deadline for sending same-day wires is 12:00 noon PST. Please call 24 hours in advance for sending wires over $10,000. There is a form to fill out in order to send either type of wire which MUST be signed. To receive a wire in your account, it must be initiated by the financial institution that is sending the money to your account. Feel free to email or call us with any other questions at 858-547-7400.
