System Requirements
To use online banking,
applications, or other secure forms on our site, you will need Microsoft
Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher, or Netscape Communicator or Navigator
4.06 or higher with 128-bit encryption. Some pages of our site require
the use of Adobe® Acrobat® reader. This is free software that
you can download from Adobe's
website.
Secure Environment
Cabrillo Credit Union's
computer system does not connect directly to the Internet. Any and all
requests for data must pass through two distinct validation and control
centers known as Firewalls. Secure Socket Layering (SSL) protects all
data transmissions between your PC and Cabrillo Credit Union's computer
system. SSL utilizes authentication and encryption technology developed
by RSA Data Security, Inc. This method of cryptography means that unauthorized
individuals cannot decipher your private information. We provide continuous
monitoring and auditing of all transactions originating from or outbound
to the Internet. We are committed to working with our communications providers
to produce the safest operating environment possible for our members and
will take advantage of evolving security enhancements.
Three Strikes
and You're Out
Members' account numbers
and PINs are the keys to accessing their accounts online. Even if unauthorized
parties gained access to an account number, they would be unable to access
the account without the correct PIN — and if they enter the wrong
PIN three consecutive times, the account will be blocked. It can only
be re-enabled if an authorized individual contacts Cabrillo Credit Union
and answers verification questions.
Time Out
An "End Session"
button is provided on each page to allow members to securely close their
session and to prevent unauthorized individuals from accessing their accounts
through the browser's "History" function. If a member forgets
to end his or her session, the website will automatically close the online
session after a period of inactivity.
