You
know how important it is to teach your children about financial responsibility.
The S.O.C.A.L. (Self Organized Cabrillo Account Life) account was created
to do just that. This is what it offers:

calculator to predict how his/her money will grow!
What happens when your child turns 18?
Your child's S.O.C.A.L. account will turn into a standard credit
union account. The S.O.C.A.L. account is a great student account as well. You
can continue with the benefits of this account by simply providing us
proof of your child's continuing education. Showing proof annually will
allow your child to retain these perks.
Classic MasterCard™-
-Your child has just turned 18, now help him/her turn into a
financially responsible adult with his/her first credit card.
-On your child's 18th birthday, we will send your child a birthday greeting
and an application for a Classic
MasterCard™ credit card.
To open a S.O.C.A.L. account, visit any of our branch
offices with your child. Don't forget to bring a valid form of ID
for your child to get started. Valid forms of ID include: Military ID,
California DMV ID, School ID (with photo), or a passport.
Teen Survey-
Your
child is already a S.O.C.A.L. member? Fantastic! Please be sure he or
she visits the teen site to fill out the teen survey. It's five quick
questions and it will give your child the chance to give us some feedback
about what's important to them in their credit union account. The survey
questions will change each month, so be sure to visit again next month.
Thank you!
