Smarter Security, Built Into Digital Banking
Your Digital Banking security now includes multiple layers of authentication — each one designed to give you greater control over your account access. As you enable new methods, your overall security strength increases automatically.
- Basic Level: Standard login with username and password.
- Intermediate Level: Adds Two-Factor Authentication.
- Advanced Level: Adds Authenticator App and Push Authentication.
How to Add Additional Security to Your Account
Follow these steps to strengthen your account protection inside Digital Banking.
- Log in to Digital Banking
Start by signing in through the Cabrillo Mobile App or online banking.
- Open User Settings
On your dashboard, click the User Icon in the top-right corner. From the menu, select Security, then choose Authentication to view your current protection level.
- Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Check the box next to Two-Factor Authentication and click Save. A verification code will now be required each time you log in — elevating your security strength to the Intermediate level.
- Use Passkey as Primary MFA Method
Enabling this option will bypass the automatic Push Auth message when MFA is required. It will allow the user to select Passkey as the MFA option for all MFA challenges. Push Auth will still be available, but will be another option to be triggered from the MFA dropdown menu.
- Add an Authenticator App
For even stronger protection, enable an authenticator app:
- Android: Toggle Google Authenticator, download the app, scan the QR code, then enter the generated code and click Submit.
- iPhone: Toggle iPhone Authenticator and follow the same steps.
Once complete, your security strength updates to the Advanced level.
