Chief Financial Officer -
Cabrillo Credit Union is looking for an experienced CFO who will be responsible for managing and leading the Accounting department. The CFO will have executive responsibility for planning and executing high level financial strategies for the credit union. The CFO will work in partnership with the Executive team to provide the strategic operational direction necessary to achieve financial performance targets and increase the profitability of the organization, while ensuring that the infrastructure and financial controls are in place to support substantial future growth.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, a CPA or CMA certification preferred, at least 5 years in the financial industry with 5 years in a senior financial management capacity with supervisory/leadership experience of accounting and finance management staff. This position will be located at our Admin building in Scripps Ranch. EOE.

Chief Lending Officer -
Cabrillo Credit Union is in search of a highly qualified Chief Lending Officer. We are seeking a leader with proven skills in strategic planning, loan growth, consumer lending, indirect lending, risk analysis, and portfolio management. An ideal candidate will have had proven success in leadership, collaborative management, negotiation, policy writing, credit union regulatory compliance, and decision-making.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years’ experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of financial institution experience
  • Complete knowledge of consumer lending requirements
  • Thorough knowledge of assessment and management of loan portfolio, including risk analysis, balancing portfolios and adapting in a changing economic environment
  • Understanding of collections procedures, foreclosure process and related legal actions 
  • Extensive experience in consumer lending and asset quality   
  • Strong leadership, collaboration and supervisory skills
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, management, planning and decision-making skills.
  • Extensive understanding of the various state and federal regulations; consumer compliance and protection laws
  • Solid knowledge of risk management, portfolio segmentation and analytics, and Allowance for Loan Loss methodologies
  • Excellent verbal and written communications

HR Assistant -
Cabrillo Credit Union is looking for an HR Assistant to undertake a variety of HR administrative duties as part of a very energetic team.  Qualified candidate will be responsible for assisting the HR/training team with various duties including:

  • Providing clerical and administrative support
  • Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, performance evaluations, etc.)
  • Coordinate HR projects, such as meetings, training and open enrollments
  • Scheduling interviews
  • Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, bonus, leaves) and serve as backup  
  • Filing and scanning of employee records
  • Assisting with HR ticket requests and requests for time off
  • Additional duties as assigned
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times


  • College degree preferred
  • Min. 2 years of Administrative/HR experience or relative HR position
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software
  • Basic knowledge of California and Federal labor laws
  • Previous payroll processing experience a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong communications skills

DMV Clerk - 
Credit Union is seeking a DMV Clerk. The DMV clerk will be responsible for processing all titles in a timely manner, process DMV paperwork, sort and disperse incoming titles, monitor 60-day Lien Perfection Report, convert secure loan(s) to unsecured loan(s) and assist Cabrillo’s loan department with other duties as assigned. Diagnose and troubleshoot any title errors.

Qualified Candidates possess,

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of DMV regulations and processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle a variety of tasks
  • Detail oriented
  • Excellent follow-up skills
  • Easily adaptable to a fast paced environment

This position is located in our administration building in Scripps Ranch.  EOE

Accountant - 
Credit Union is looking for an experienced Accountant who will be responsible for maintaining the accounting records and providing support to the accounting department.  Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:

  • Monthly closing of the books from journal entries, analysis, and reconciliations
  • Support audit requirements and other deliverables
  • Reviews and analyzes financial reports
  • Researches and prepares materials for audits
  • Prepares, distributes, and maintains a variety of periodic and ad-hoc reports
  • Provides support to specific accounting functions, which may include budget preparation, taxes and board reporting
  • Prepares journal, payroll, and/or general ledger entries
  • Ensures adherence to all state and federal rules and regulations, as well as departmental standards
  • All other duties as assigned by the Assistant Controller


  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant professional experience
  • Strong accounting with analytical and critical thinking skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge and expertise in GAAP
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of staff
  • Solid computer skills including advanced Excel functions
  • Knowledge of Corelation software a plus

AVP Compliance and Risk Management - 
The primary objective of the position is to ensure controls and audits are in place protecting the Credit Union’s assets.  Oversees internal controls to insure risk is minimized.  Works closely with CEO to oversee the BSA program, providing subject matter expertise. Acts as Security Officer.  Directs the Vendor Management Program.  Excellent written and oral communication skills.  Thorough knowledge of accounts, loans and services.  Thorough knowledge of audit and safekeeping practices. Working knowledge of applicable government regulations.  Minimum 5-7 years Credit Union/Banking Operations and Management experience. EOE.

Loan Officer - 
Full-time position available in the Credit Union’s administrative office located in Scripps Ranch. Responsible for processing consumer loan applications, including interviewing, making decision recommendations, and funding. Qualified applicant will have 2 years+ consumer lending experience with lending authority, a thorough knowledge of lending regulations, solid sales skills, excellent people skills, ability to work at a fast pace, and be detail-oriented. HELOC, NMLS, Notary, and Mortgage experience a must. EOE
